HAYWARD — A man fell onto BART train tracks early Friday, forcing the brief closure of the Hayward station, the agency said.BART reported the closure about 9:25 a.m., about 10 minutes after spokesman Chris Filippi said they were told that a person was on the trackway

According to Filippi, a man had a medical event and fell onto the tracks. An approaching train stopped before hitting the man, who medics removed from the tracks. He had minor injuries from the fall, Filippi said. BART re-opened the station about 9:35 a.m. In an advisory, the agency said trains did not stop at the Hayward station during the closure and that a delay developed.

AC Transit provided bus service for passengers between the Bay Fair/Hayward and South Hayward/Hayward stations during the delay, according to the agency.
