.Officials have set up a protection zone 3km around the farm - located north east of Amsterdam.
Meanwhile, a transport ban has been imposed on seven other nearby farms, a government statement said. It is the third case of avian flu to have been reported in the country in recent days and the sixth case this month, following dozens of cases earlier in the year. Some six million birds have already been culled in the Netherlands since the new variant of the disease was first detected on 26 October 2021, the Dutch food safety authority said last month.
Europe is in the grip of a bird flu epidemic caused by the highly pathogenic H5N1 strain of the virus. It is highly infectious and causes rapid illness and death in commercial flocks of chickens ducks, turkeys and geese
just in time for the prices to go up even higher for Turkey what a coincidence. Oh and poultry farmers are dont have an egg shortage, they have a bird shortage because they cant afford new birds due to the supermarkets not passing on the prices rises they forced on customers
B.S. ALERT!!!
How gruesome this scene will be!
Intensive animal farming is awful.
Sad. Happened here in the US just recently after Hurricane Ian.
It’s a full on state lie Just more globalist attacks on farmers
New trade deal with the EU for chicken incoming
Making the way for artificial chicken which was agreed on G20 summit 🤔🤨
Most poultry farms will now start killing and freezing there meat. Fish farmer get the fish cull and freeze then super markets sell it unfrozen as fresh or keep it fresh. Don't worry people The news likes to scare not to reinsurer people.
