I know this letter is highly critical and is meant to be. Two of the biggest killers in this province is cancer and heart attacks and I have had both.Some Newfoundland and Labrador cancer patients to be sent to Toronto due to shortage of radiation therapists Eight of my family have had cancer, three didn’t make it. I have had hundreds of my friends from three-and-a-half years and up who have passed away from this dreaded disease. And to hear that part of the Dr. Bliss Murphy Cancer care is closing down because staff are leaving for better jobs or working conditions elsewhere is a lack of leadership in the healthcare system.
