"The treatments we use today were discovered, tested, and first made available to patients in clinical trials — and the drugs that are the future of cancer treatment are in trials today," David Carbone, a medical doctor at Ohio State University, stated on the website"I want to emphasize that being in a clinical trial is how you get access to the next generation of cancer treatment.
"The cancer death rate for men and women combined fell 32% from its peak in 1991 to 2019, the most recent year for which data were available," the organization notes on its site.
