The former health secretary has claimed that he wanted to ‘use this incredible platform to raise awareness’ of dyslexia , who also has dyslexia, said the charity recognises the importance of raising awareness of the “positive benefits of a neurodiverse world – not to mention a neurodiverse Government”.

A spokesperson for the MP said that by going on the show, Hancock has “already raised the profile of his dyslexia campaign”. In Thursday night’s episode, hosts Declan Donnelly and Ant McPartlin revealed the public had voted for the former Cabinet minister to take part in his third consecutive trial.

When told by others that he’s unpopular and the public will be cross he has, on a couple of occasions, referred to his resigning because of his affair. He assumes that’s what people are cross with. Not his record as Health Secretary. He genuinely believes he has a good record.

Mr Hancock was diagnosed at 18 while studying at Oxford and said he kept the learning difficulty secret for 20 years. 📺But in footage shown so far from the camp he hasn't mentioned the condition – even when he has been pressed by other I’m a Celeb stars on why he's taking part.
