Research study offers free exercise classes for those living with cancer

Funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research , the Canadian Cancer Society , and the Alberta Cancer Foundation , is a five-year Canada-wide research study.

What is EXCEL? EXCEL is a FREE, 12-week exercise program designed specifically for individuals undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment. Who can participate in EXCEL? EXCEL is for individuals living with cancer across all stages of cancer care. Exercise is a safe evidence-based supportive cancer care resource, and improves health-related quality of life, sleep, symptoms of anxiety/depression/stress, mood, lymphedema and cancer-related fatigue.
