The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday registered 1,267 new COVID-19 infections, while the total number of active cases climbed to 16,526.

The Health department said the active case tally also increased to 16,526 from 15,989 on Wednesday.Among the regions with the most infections in the past two weeks were the National Capital Region with 2,925 cases, followed by Calabarzon with 1,716, Western Visayas with 1,332, Central Luzon with 992, and Davao Region with 919.Seven new fatalities were recorded, pushing the death tally to 64,329.

The bed occupancy in the country slightly decreased to 24.5% from earlier 24.9% as of Tuesday, November 8. The number of beds occupied is at 6,976, while 21,444 were vacant. A total of 13,499 individuals were tested, while 336 testing labs submitted data as of Wednesday, November 9.
