The victim’s parents will fly to South Korea soon.

The Itaewon stampede in South Korea that left 151 youths dead and 156 people injured on 29 October has shocked many people worldwide.

Caretaker Foreign Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah confirmed there were no Malaysian fatalities in the incident. The individual is in stable condition and the Malaysian embassy in Seoul has provided assistance to the victim’s parents to fly to South Korea.Any Malaysians who need assistance from the consular are encouraged to contact the Malaysian embassy in Seoul at 00 795 9203 / 2077-8600 / +82 010 8974 8699, or email mwseoul@kln.gov.my.

32-year-old Aziani Ashary was there with a friend from the United Kingdom but managed to leave before the overcrowding got worse. They were pushed around while trying to get away from the crowd.
