Mental health is a silent killer which cannot be ignored. Efforts must be taken to deal with issues of anxiety, loneliness and depression. We must also remove taboos associated with mental illness so that people hit by this will come forward for timely treatment.

Yet the suicide rate among female teens has skyrocketed 70% the past 15 years. Also social media was introduced around the same time. This correlation does imply causation.

In Canada we have the same issue with boys not being able to obtain adequate mental health resources. We are very much more open about mental health awareness than America seems to be which is helpful. Kids have kind of been tossed to the side in this era 😔
