The £665,000 Active Travel Social Prescribing scheme will see cycle lessons and bike loans.

A city is to offer "bikes on prescription" in an attempt to improve people's health.

The scheme will offer cycle lessons and bike loans alongside support to help people to join walking groups and use parks and open spaces.The plan aims to reduce the number of doctors' appointments and people's reliance on medication."It also aims to support individuals to take greater control of their own health and wellbeing," the report says.

Or alternatively the patient sells the bike on and claims it was stolen. This is Balby we're talking about.

So let's get this straight. A patient is prescribed a bike and takes it out. The person is then injured in a cycling accident so sues the nhs for prescribing the bike to use in the first place. Not a good idea.
