KUALA LUMPUR: Around 1,000 people exercised for prizes in the Health Ministry's Langkah Sihat programme at Batu Caves, Selangor this morning (Oct 16).

Participants from various walks of life and ages took part in various exercise-centric activities such as a flag-off race up the world-famous 272-step Batu Cave staircase.

Participants who proved their mettle took home various prizes including expensive cooking appliances and hampers. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had launched the BMSS initiative through social media earlier this month on Oct 8 as a part of his overall Agenda Nasional Malaysia Sihat agenda to cultivate and promote a healthy lifestyle among Keluarga Malaysia.
