Australians’ life expectancy among highest in world: report | Sky News AustraliaThe life expectancy of Australians at birth is among the highest in the world, according to a new report . \n\nAustralians can expect to life 82.5 years, the sixth highest age among developed countries, and higher than residents in the US and UK. \n\nThe report by The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare also found Australians have the fourth highest proportion of people rating their health as 'good' or 'very good', but the second-highest incidence of cancer.\n\n\n\n\n that would be excluding Aboriginal Australians? I'd be more interested in knowing what the expectancy for people who looked after them selves was rather than the average. That and having some metric for the quality of that extended life, no point living longer if it is just a painful and confused act of dying slowly.
