According to the medical examiner, Talotta was found unresponsive at the jail on Sept. 20 and died around 10:46 p.m. the next day.

The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the Allegheny County Jail inmate as Anthony G. Talotta, 57, from Monroeville, the news station said.

The next day, hospital staff called the jail and asked that his emergency contact be notified. His bond was also reduced so he could be released from custody and allowed visitation from loved ones, TribLive said. According to a criminal complaint, police said Talotta lived at a home run by RMPC Services, and that he has been diagnosed with severe mental retardation, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety and depression.
