KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 13,627 new Covid-19 cases were recorded from Sept 11 to 17 compared to 14,072 cases in the previous week, says Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

“The average daily active cases for the same period was 26,378, which decreased by 4.1% compared to the week before,” he said yesterday.

On the number of recoveries, he said it was also down by 16% with 14,513 cases for the same period compared to 17,286 cases the previous week. “The percentage of Covid-19 bed occupancy showed a decrease of one percent for non-critical beds while beds in intensive care unit and low-risk Covid-19 treatment centres dropped by two percent respectively.
