“Our monitoring indicators continue to show that we are on the downslope of this wave,” the health unit said.The wastewater viral signal was high and decreasing. The per cent of tests coming back positive was moderate and decreasing. New COVID-19 hospitalizations and new outbreaks in institutional settings were moderate and relatively unchanged from a week earlier.

OPH reiterated the importance of keeping layers of protection against COVID-19 and other viral infections. In particular, masking indoors and in crowded areas is strongly recommended.
