The FDA announced Thursday that although it believes that occurrences of squamous cell carcinoma and various lymphomas in the capsule around breast implants may be rare, health care providers and people who have or are considering breast implants should be aware of these cases -- and report them or any other cancers found around the implant to the agency.
"Breast implants are not meant to be lifetime devices. They have a lifespan, and that might range from seven to 10-plus years, based on the implant and patient," Dr. Tommaso Addona, a plastic surgeon and president of the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group in New York, told CNN in 2019 when the FDA held a meeting to review the safety of breast implants. He added that he often discusses benefits and risks with his own patients."We do discuss complications.
It could be that the implant sets the stage, and that diet is the deciding factor if your get cancer or not! How many people know that processed meats are KNOWN CARCINOGENS? A fact convenient left off of all the packaging of this deadly food.
Wait you mean slicing your body open and shoving a foriegn implant in there isnt good for you? Its amazing the lengths people will go to, to not have to develop character.
I had a double mastectomy in 2017 and asked my surgeon why the cancer causing implants were being used...he said that he believed the good outweighed the bad! I did not have the implants
really? a foreign product implanted on the body is causing problems... who knew that could happen?
Was this not public knowledge earlier?
