'We are expecting this particular flu season to be bad.' Indianapolis area medical professionals are encouraging everyone who is eligible to get a flu vaccine as soon as they're eligible.

INDIANAPOLIS — With students back in school and the summer ending, health experts are looking ahead to the fall and winter.

Misty Marcum, a LPN with Franciscan Health, says everyone six months and older needs to get a flu shot. "[Getting the shot is] very important, not only to protect yourself, but to protect those around you," Marcum said.
