The Nationwide Foundation has received a $10 million gift that will be used for research into pediatric behavior health conditions.

The Nationwide Foundation is donating $10 million to Nationwide Children's Hospital to fund behavior health research and genomics, continuingThe Steve and Cindy Rasmussen Institute for Genomic Medicine that focuses on genomics as the root cause of many childhood diseases will be among the areas to benefit from the donation. Since its inception in 2016, the institute has provided more than 59,000 clinical genomics-based tests for more than 16,000 patients with a variety of conditions.

"The Nationwide Foundation is proud to be able to make a difference by partnering with Nationwide Children’s Hospital on solutions for our community and on critically important research that makes an impact and improves the welfare of children and their families,” Kirt Walker, the company's CEO and the Nationwide Foundation chairman, said in a statement.
