A West Belfast man has thanked those who have supported his business over the last nine years, as he announced a stall closure.

John Mallon owns Beauty On Our Doorstep, a photography stall which has been in the heart of the Kennedy Centre in Andersonstown. It was set up to promote positive mental health through the lens of a camera.

"I originally went in there for four days, to promote positive mental health, and now it is almost nine years. I know that I can walk away knowing that a lot people got mental health help and support. "It is all positive, and I am not walking away feeling negative at all. The reason for closing is entirely down to the cost of materials in the present climate but my heart goes out to those with young families, who are struggling.

John says they are still intending on producing a Beauty on our Doorstep calendar for 2023 and that he will continue to do what he, and other love him doing - taking pictures."We do hope to reopen in the near future," he added.
