Ontario Health Minister Sylvia Jones says the province is expanding a program that allows paramedics to take patients somewhere other than an emergency room, such as a mental health facility, or to treat them on scene. Jones says she will be releasing a broader plan this week aimed at health system stability and recovery.

Ontario Health Minister Sylvia Jones says the province is expanding a program that allows paramedics to take patients somewhere other than an emergency room, such as a mental health facility, or to treat them on scene.

The minister made her remarks in a speech to the Association of Municipalities Ontario conference, and it comes as a nursing staffing shortage has seen emergency departments across the province close for hours or days at a time throughout the summer.

I experienced one of those great times when a paramedic was going to leave my lifeless husband home instead of transporting him to hospital. He was in full blown GI hemorrhage and would have bled out at home but last minute they decided to transport because he was short of breath

So what are they going to do with patients? Dump them on side of the road? That’s called littering! Lol Seriously, this woman makes as much sense as PP. Same barrel! Beware Canada
