Health Minister Sylvia Jones says access to health care through OHIP 'never going to change'A gowned nurse attends to a patient in the intensive care unit of Humber River Hospital in Toronto on Jan. 25.
I can’t get access to care with my Ohipcard and I going to die explain it
You have cancer experimental drugs not paid for so you got to mortgage your home to pay 1500. Per shot
If you are given social services and need cataract surgery . The social services person gets a cheaper not as good lens during surgery . Fair absolutely not!
Private blood clinic in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland. For me I alive at least 1/2 he away from hospital so paying privatization fee is cheaper than gas ⛽️
What is happening is if you have money you get better ❤️🩹 care than govt funded care. That’s what privatization is
We need to privatize or the federal government needs to spend billions on healthcare. COVID-19 exposed the truth about our broken healthcare that everyone has known for years. You think waiting 3 hours would be tolerable in a private hospital?
It has become obvious that some sort of privatization is required...Let it happen,we will all be happy over time.
You'll just be able to actually use it less and less frequently.
Many doctors simply want the freedom to control and organize their practices. They see an alternative insurance structure as a way to do that.
I CURRENTLY don't have access to Health Care. NO family physicians.
As predicted, fordnation is on track to destroy our health system .. sad
Which in simple terms is that anything new, any slight changes to a process WILL BE privatized. Remember HER KEY WORD ' INNOVATIVE' is their catchall word to privatize anything and everything.
Might just have a few extra parts to it
If we have a convoy against anything it should really be this.
She said it's never going to change... so we should expect it will always be this terrible from now on.
Have we learned nothing about why healthcare should be public from the abject failure of private long term care facilities during the pandemic versus how well publicly run ones faired? Expand public healthcare.
I want all the healthcare accessed through my OHIP card.
sylviaJonesMPP thinks Ontarians don't understand what's at stake. It's the QUALITY of healthcare that will be negatively impacted by privatization, as it has everywhere where private healthcare has been adopted. OntarioNDP OntLiberal OntarioGreens
Perfect, further inequality in access to care … everything is fine, just fine.
That's really comforting, cheers
I see McKinsey has taken over messaging. This in the US is known as “access”.
But they will make it hard to access and private healthcare will flourish for those who can afford it. Pathetic.
Private healthcare is not 'innovation', it's been done before and is associated with worse outcomes for health, because a profit model is at odds with the greater good. onpoli
Truth is obvious, cause public to distrust public health by forcing it to crash, replace it with private health fordnation ‘s plan NeverTrustFord
Actually competition amongst Health Providers will create better care overall. When hospitals rely on results to get customers(income) instead of government handouts things can only get better.
All across Canada, even in Ontario, there are several private healthcare clinics offering services amd billing OHIP directly. This is nothing new. We're not going to the American model. We want the European model. They work, ours doesn't
Look, a complaint based out of their paranoia and not anything that has been announced or proposed. Why are you even publishing this?
Fake news.
That's what happens when the CONServatives are in power!
OntarioGeneralStrike We r not powerless 💪💪😀
Well now no One gets care! So yay us
That is not what we are asking for. We are asking for private delivery of publicly paid services. The rich already go to the states.
