The DOH on Friday said national and most regions in the Philippines continue to show an uptrend in Covid-19 cases, but remain at low-risk case classification with average daily attack rates also still at the same low-risk level. Know more:

“Most areas show sharp increase in cases with NCR [National Capital Region] showing the steepest increase, now almost at 750 cases per day,” Vergeire’s report stated.Vergeire stated that health-care utilization rates are also at low risk in all regions.

“National severe and critical admissions remain less than 1 percent of total hospital admissions with total beds utilization remains at low risk at 23 percent utilization rate,” the report showed. As compared to the previous week, available beds slightly increased by 476 , while admissions also increased by 567 beds.

National ICU utilization remains at low risk at 17 percent utilization rate. Compared to the previous week, while available ICU beds increased by 165 while admissions also increased by 54 .Cases in the NCR remain on an uptrend showing smaller increases in the recent few weeks; seven-day moving average cases in the current week is higher by 29 percent from the previous week.
