QuickCheck: Can a viral 'blue light machine' be used to treat cancer?

Sunway Medical Centre Velocity oncologist Dr Hafizah Zaharah Ahmad has dismissed such claims, adding that patients should not be easily deceived and influenced by such counterfeit products.

“Patients should first go for a medical examination and consult a doctor for any follow-up treatment. "There is no need to waste money using products that are not recommended by the Health Ministry,” she told Bahasa Malaysia news portal Majoriti. Dr Hafizah added that if such products were indeed effective, it would have been used by the National Cancer Institute.
