Something within Me, Michael Wilson's memoirs released, posthumously

Michael Wilson, pictured at the 1993 Progressive Conservative leadership convention at the Civic Centre at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa where Kim Campbell was elected leader., who served under Progressive Conservative prime ministeras finance minister from 1984 to 1991, international trade minister from 1991 to 1993, and was a key negotiator of the Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement in 1987, had his memoirs published, posthumously.

after Wilson died of cancer on Feb. 10, 2019. The book takes a deep and personal look at Wilson’s life, who was not only an influential federal politician, but also a businessman, diplomat and mental health advocate. It includes 16 pages of photos from both his personal albums and political career, and an emotional foreword written by Mulroney. Wilson was also responsible for implementing the government’s controversial goods and services tax, and later served as ambassador to the U.S.
