ISKANDAR PUTERI, June 19 — A total of 6,987 hand, foot and mouth disease cases have been reported from early this year until yesterday, compared with 104 cases during the same period last year, the Johor State Assembly was told today.

He said this was followed by children aged seven to 12, with 816 cases , and the rest were those aged 13 and above. “As of yesterday, there are 100 HFMD outbreaks in Johor involving nurseries , private homes , tabika , tadika , pre-school , primary schools , day care centres and others .
