The story is based in part on interviews with Greene and Vanessa Walker Harris, the director of the health department’s office in charge of addressing maternal and infant mortality, who said aAdvertisement
“Based on my conservations with employees at the Department of Health, this has had a chilling effect on their ability to do their job to address health disparities,” she said.
They also reaffirmed that one of the core values in the office’s strategic plan is “fostering an environment … inclusive of age, race, sexual orientation, gender, religion, culture, ethnicity, and nationality in order to overcome health and social inequities …”“We believe this value is foundational to building respectful relationships with our colleagues and the communities we serve,” they wrote.
Says an old white man wearing a bow tie………….
Still too many MAGa/Klan in positions of power doing great harm to out country …sad….
Colin Greene sounds like someone who is deeply and profoundly committed to keeping his own job.
This does nothing to change the fact that he should be removed from his job. He obviously believed what he said earlier and only changed it to preserve his job. His views have directly damaged the lives of BIPOC people his entire tenure and cannot be reversed.
Bowed to the mob.
You'd expect better judgment from somebody who takes fashion tips from George Will.
He should keep standing! I have seen no real example of current structural racism. More virtue signaling BS - more people need to call it out!
It always amazes me how incredibly smart people can just say the absolutely most stupid things
Pffft. Too late.
Always blame white people for the faults of the bad race.
