Military Ordinariate of the Philippines Bishop Oscar Jaime Florencio reminded the public to continue to observe the minimum health protocols to help prevent another surge in Covid-19 cases.

The Church leader issued the reminder after the OCTA Research Group warned of the possibility of 400 to 500 daily cases in the National Capital Region by the end of June.

“Let us trust in the government as it continues to address the problem. Let us try to do what we can do to help prevent another rise in Covid-19 cases to avoid another lockdown,” Bishop Florencio said over Radio Veritas. The prelate prays that the incidence of Covid-19 in the country continues to go down so the people can resume their lives.

“Let us continue to pray and to trust in the Lord who provides for all our needs. Trust that the Lord will always be there to guide us,” he said.
