The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention added three island destinations to its 'high' risk category for travellers on Tuesday. Anguilla, Jamaica and Turks and Caicos Islands were all moved to Level 3, or 'high' risk for COVID-19.

If you're concerned about a travel-specific health situation not related to COVID-19,To be in "Level 1: COVID-19 Low," a destination must have had 49 or fewer new cases per 100,000 residents over the past 28 days.Level 1 had more than 50 entries as of Tuesday. Finally, there are destinations the CDC has deemed to be of "unknown" risk because of a lack of information. Usually, but not always, these are small, remote places or places with ongoing warfare or unrest.

We've moved into "a phase in the pandemic where people need to make their own decisions based on their medical circumstances as well as their risk tolerance when it comes to contracting COVID-19," said Wen, who is an emergency physician and professor of health policy and management at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.

"Are you planning to visit a lot of attractions and go to indoor bars? That's very different from you're going somewhere where you're planning to lie on the beach all day and not interact with anyone else. That's very different. Those are very different levels of risk." Vaccination is the most significant safety factor for travel, since unvaccinated travelers are more likely to become ill and transmit COVID-19 to others, Wen said.

And it's also important to consider what you would do if you end up testing positive away from home. Where will you stay and how easy will it be to get a test to return home?

Question……………. So if Canada is at level 3 can we visit another level 3 country…..we breaking even

More nonsense.....not like people care anyway.

I applied under hccp October 2020 caregiverspilotprogram. I done my biometric in March 2022 after no any update I am suffering from alot of psychiatric problems. In 2021 I lost my mother and I am in shock.secondl ignored my file by SeanFraser jasrajshallan JaimeBattiste .

Why is everyone so frustrated over this. Unless you travel, who fkn cares? And if you do travel, still, who fkn cares? Anyone willing to travel during a pandemic doesn't give a sh!t about risk factors anyway. Just something else for people to b!tch and whine about

After the misinformation this organization has released about the virus this past 2 years I have zero faith in the CDC

I'd say the news is that these islands join Canada in the Covid 'high risk' Level 3 category. We are in the group which includes much of Europe (Fr, Ger, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain & UK), as well as Brazil, Costa Rica, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand.

Did I miss what level of risk the USA was at

Conservatives will jump off a cliff if cdc recommends not to

Canada is level 3? 😆😆😆 okie dokie
