CLEVELAND, Ohio - The 26-year-old Cleveland man convicted in a 2-year-old boy’s death was scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday morning, but his attorney requested permission to withdraw his guilty plea.

Hicks previously pleaded guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter, endangering children and felonious assault. His attorney did not explain the reasoning for changing the plea.
