The board meets quarterly to discuss creating strategic plans for the city, getting community buy-in for technology projects, finding new investment opportunities, and sharing knowledge about best practices for helping Atlanta become future-ready.
"Part of that partnership is to talk through some of the challenges that we have here in the city," such as recruiting tech talent, said Sankey, who's chair of the board."It gives us an opportunity to engage and have well-thought-out conversations about how we can be more collaborative."Courtesy of Cynthia Curry initiative in 2021.
"We've provided playbooks that lay out how companies can make a difference," Cynthia Curry, MAC's director of smart cities, told Insider. The playbooks, created by a committee of local businesses and civic leaders, provide actionable steps for helping companies improve DEI across corporate policies, education, economic development, and workforce development. More than 250 companies, including Coca-Cola, UPS, and the Atlanta Hawks, have signed on to AARE.
