Monkeypox: Fourth case in Scotland confirmed

Dr Nick Phin, PHS director of public health science, said: "Anyone with an unusual blister-like rash or small number of blister-like sores on any part of their body, including their genital area, should avoid close contact with others and seek medical advice if they have any concerns.

"We have well-established and robust infection control procedures for dealing with such cases of infectious disease and these are being strictly followed and the overall risk to the general public is low."Health officials said the west African strain recently detected in the UK is generally a mild, self-limiting illness, spread by very close contact with someone already infected and with symptoms of monkeypox.

The real virus is the coercive fear which is being unleashed by the media once again. Ask yourself why? The masses are in a heightened state of fear. We are being played. The question is why?

Why is the headline about the fourth case in Scotland, and not the new 71 cases in England? You did this most of the way through Covid too; higher England numbers a few paragraphs into the article, with a headline about a much smaller number elsewhere. Ridiculous

I'm not having any monkey pox injections. Never been near a monkey in my life.

Stop fear mongering! Did you say 4? If anyone dies, will you actually carry out some investigative journalism this time or will you just take the cash again?

Is one of the symptoms swinging from the light shades ?

Will it be Moderna etc who soon start to create vaccines for this as well then?
