Covid-19 Watch: 1,155 new cases, says Health Ministry

The Health Ministry said through data released on its CovidNow portal on Monday that this brings the new total to 4,503,734 cases since the pandemic began.The CovidNow portal also said that there were 1,975 recoveries on Sunday, bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 24,393.

Of the active cases, 95.9% or 23,403 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 17 people or 0.1% are being treated at low-risk quarantine and treatment centres . Only 3.8% of active cases or 939 individuals needed to be hospitalised, with 34 warded in intensive care units throughout the country.

These numbers do not mean anything anymore. No one records on MySejahtera when infected. Perhaps, we can learn why even private hospitals are packed these days, one needs to wait to get a bed!
