NSW to offer $2000 rebates for IVF treatment

Women’s economic opportunities and issues will be a centrepiece of this year’s budget, Mr Kean said.

Mr Kean said the financial assistance would make NSW one of the most affordable places in the world to receive fertility treatment. Mr Kean said that by offering paid fertility treatment leave for teachers, nurses and other public servants, the state government was setting an example for the private sector.

The rebate scheme will open on January 1, but women who have had an eligible procedure from October will also be allowed to apply.
