PUTRAJAYA, May 10 — About 30 to 40 per cent of patients with Covid-19 long-term effects or Long Covid in the country return to work within three months of having the infection, whereas between 60 and 70 per cent return to work within six months, said Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
Khairy also said that as of April this year, a total of 2,798 patients have received in-patient treatment for Long Covid, while 6,432 patients underwent outpatient treatment at Health Ministry facilities nationwide. Without special and structured treatment, the condition can persist to the point of affecting the individual’s quality of life, he said.
