Fair City star Tommy O’Neill has revealed why he’s missed so much of the RTE soap in recent years - he has been secretly battling a stage four cancer diagnosis.“I was very sick, I had cancer, I was actually dying. I was stage four,” the 69-year-old told the Irish Daily Mirror.

Tommy said doctors only gave him a maximum of 18 months to live when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
