Not surprising at all. We once had a UofU doc at the UofU hospital perform a procedure. But because they were not officially a part of the UofU hospital (usually at one of their clinics), they didn't fall under the 'hospital' coverage. The medical/insurance setup is weird.
Providers should be required to disclose whether they’re in-network for any Pt they treat. Period. Full Stop. End of Story. health healthcarecrisis
