There are some simple steps we can take to offset the risk

It’s not uncommon for women to stick their hands under harsh UV lights in the name of getting a long-lasting manicure. But the monthly or even bi-weekly routine could be causing serious damage to your hands and nail beds.

“For example, alcohol, most of us enjoy a glass of wine at the weekends but that has its own associated health risks. “But there are some case reports that have been published of people who’ve been getting their nails done very frequently over the course of a long period of time, who did present with multiple skin cancers on their hands that was attributed to repeated UV light use.
