MAHB: Not mandatory to do RTK-AG tests at airports

In a statement yesterday, MAHB said the government’s standard operating procedure requires that international travellers do the Covid-19 antigen rapid tests within 24 hours of their arrival in Malaysia. “There has been some confusion on the requirement for RTK-AG testing to be done at the airport upon arrival in Malaysia.“The facilities, however, are made available for passengers who wish to have the convenience of doing the tests right away at the airport upon arrival,” MAHB added.

Maybe this important bit of information should have been made clear from the beginning. What actually happened made it look like there was a racket going on at the airport i.e. no choice but to do the expensive tests at the airports.
