"I really don't feel after the emotional heartache I went through when I had to leave my clients, I don't feel like I can put myself in that position again where the government can rip the rug out from underneath my feet by mandating me out of a job for any reason," she said.Changes from 14 April will allow unvaccinated people to go to restaurants, clubs, museums, and stadiums.
Infectious diseases physician Dr Paul Griffin said easing the mandates in certain settings makes sense.
So Prof Paul Griffin said 'What's really clear is protection against infection is reduced by two doses against Omicron but largely restored with that third dose.' A very strange thing to say in support of the Covid vaccines.
No-one should be in any doubt and should never forget that the vast numbers of Covid deaths in care homes were spread by workers who should have known better not adhering to infection control measures and working at multiple locations. Their personal circumstances are irrelevant.

No vaccine... but she went to Russia for medical treatment and taking their advice on vaccines... this is a country that recently invaded another and killed and injured innocent men, women and children... the mind boggles !
What odd medical advice, even taking into account it was given pre-covid. Especially considering the risks from covid outweigh the risks from the vaccine significantly. I hope she has no life threatening (clot, heart) or long term adverse events from her recent covid infection.
the medical exemption criteria appears to be too narrow, I’ve heard of a number of people that have medical advice not to get vaxed but then can’t have the medical exemption - puts them in an awful position
Take a look at these 'who cares' comments. This is the only thing the mandates have achieved. The complete disruption of ppl's sense of community & their ability to empathise with innocent people. The mandates have been a terrible mistake & only the most groomed can't see it.
Sorry as sad as this is I am glad she has left. Forget Covid 1,000s have been killed by influenza in aged care & she can not be vaccinated thus she she is a high risk to her clients. I wish her luck but not in the aged care profession. I hope she stays healthy.
The Nursing Home attached to our local hospital and ED had to shut down because a Staff Member had Omicron. 7 aged care residents contracted covid. Know it was staff, as ALL visitors had to do a RAT before entering and staff didn’t. AND BS to being advised not too have vaxx…2

There have been vaccine mandates in the disability sector years: for example, the flu vaccine which she says she doesn't want to get on doctor's advice. So with or without COVID vaccine mandates, she would have had to leave the disability sector.
