Khairy says no Omicron XE case in Malaysia so far

MALAYSIA has yet to report any case of the new Omicron XE variant, which is more contagious than previous Covid-19 variants, said Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin. The Health Ministry is following the developments of and studying the new variant – which has been reported in other countries, including Thailand – to identify its infectivity rate and severity, he added.
