Miriam O'Callaghan was delighted when her daughter Alannah paid tribute to her late sister Anne after becoming a first time mum last year.The couple named their daughter Éabha Anne, giving a nod to Miriam's sibling who sadly passed away from cancer at the age of 33.

Is it when you have days like becoming a grandmother for the first time that it really hits home that she is not there? Miriam said: "Yeah, that is a very good point. We had babies together and, in fact, her daughter and my daughter are still best friends, which is lovely.The RTÉ star celebrated her first Mother's Day as a grandmother on Sunday as her own kids begin to live their own lives as adults.

Miriam joined musician and advocate Dervla Burke and autistic writer Stefanie Preissner to officially announce the ‘Same Chance’ campaign which will run throughout April for World Autism Month.
