In the aftermath of that moment, critics and viewers are debating both Rock's joke and Smith's response. On Monday afternoon, according to multiple press reports, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the organization behind the Oscars, says it condemns Smith's actions and has begun a formal review of the incident.Jada Pinkett Smith's condition is familiar to many women.
I’m just over all disgusted with this coverage. Just making excuses for Will Smith’s violent behavior choices and blaming the victim is not ok.
Also is there anything that the toxic misogynists won’t blame on “white feminist women?” Toxic and violent misogynists are a serious threat to public safety and if ppl were half as angry at men for their role in benefitting from and perpetuating it-we might have equality now.
This incident had nothing to do w Jada’s condition and would not have happened but for WS’s choices. It’s really disturbing that WBUR is allowing Will to blame the victim of his violent crime for his own violent misogynist behavior-in the name of “defending women.”
We really need to defund this garbage
