The top doctor says in order to avoid any long-term health issues, you need to physically wake your body clock every morning

A top doctor has revealed that many people are skipping a vital morning step which ensures you wake up your body clock properly.

In the video posted to his official TikTok account, he says: “When you wake up in the morning, do you wake up your body clock as well?“The best way to regulate your circadian clock so your energy, focus, physical and mental health is as optimised as they can be is to receive as much sunlight as possible as soon as you wake up - or as close to that time as possible.

Speaking about the effects of not getting enough natural daylight from the moment you wake up, the UK doctor explained: “Even just going a few days with poor sunlight exposure can cause some pretty major biological disruptions to several body systems. According to health officials, low serotonin levels can make you tired and lethargic, and vitamin D deficiency is also known to cause fatigue.
