The country recorded 20,923 new Covid19 cases on Saturday (March 26) bringing the total number of infections in the country to 4,122,004. Read more at

According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 20,695 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 228 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,122,004 cases since the pandemic began. A total of 34 deaths were recorded on Saturday with 8 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 34,751.
