A male teenager with pre-existing medical conditions is one of two 'historical' deaths reported to WA authorities as the state records 7,535 new COVID cases.

The "historical" deaths of a male teenager with pre-existing medical conditions and a man in his 90s were reported to WA Health yesterday.

Just over 16,000 PCR tests were conducted at state-run and private clinics yesterday, with about 58 per cent of the new cases detected by self-reported rapid antigen tests.
