PETALING JAYA: The nurse who administered the vaccine dose was very professional in her conduct, says Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

"Her tactic of not showing him the needle was very effective and helped calm my son. I hope all doctors and nurses involved in PICKids can be protected from the lies of certain parties," said Khairy in a post on his official Twitter account on Wednesday .

Both the Health Minister and his wife Nori Abdullah were with Raif when the vaccination was being administered. The nurse then added that when she quickly jabbed and counted from one to ten before pushing the plunger in once she saw that Raif was okay and did not move The nurse said she then disconnected the syringe from the child’s arm, showed it to the parents and plastered the injection site once Raif had been vaccinated.
