The Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention says a total of 10,896,302 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the continent.on the pandemic on February 4. According to the agency, the COVID-19 death toll across the continent stands at 241,112 and 9,917,757 patients have recovered from the disease.
Africa CDC said South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia and Ethiopia are among the countries with the most cases on the continent.The agency said in terms of regional caseload, Southern Africa is the most affected, followed by the northern and eastern parts of the continent, while Central Africa is the least affected region.
Meanwhile, in Nigeria, over 250,000 infections have been confirmed across the country — out of which 230,126 persons have been discharged and 20,509 are active cases.
