In Vincents A&E for four plus hours. Hardworking staff even d/w an abusive drunk. One said wait till winter! Not hard to see - demand outstrips supply of medical staff. Leo, it’s been like this for years! Need to raise taxes & also drive efficiency in lagging areas.

Not only the dedicated nurses work on Christmas Day. Care assistants, ambulance services, fire brigade services, paramedics & generally anyone who can look after the safety & welfare of the public.. unlike u Taoiseach who has the death of the 27th person in 16 mths on ur hands!

This feels like a slap in the face to those of us already overworked trying to meet the needs of our patients. I was on duty 106 hours last week! To my knowledge no patient was turned away because it was a bank holiday or a Sunday....
