has found a substantial number of people prefer to be more open about themselves in virtual reality than in real life.
Psychology and communication researcher Dr Shane Rogers said participants rated their experience on factors like enjoyment, comfort, awkwardness, perceived understanding, and the extent to which they felt they disclosed information about themselves. Most fundamentally, VR aims to mirror reality and create a world that is both immersive and interactive. Visually, VR system components work together to create sensory illusions that produce a believable simulation of reality.
“This technology has the potential for broad application across a number of areas such as casual conversation, business, tourism, education and therapy,” he said. Rather than being niche, Dr Rogers expects VR social interaction to become more common over the next five years.
When you repress negative emotions, you also repress positive ones. Allow your feelings to flow freely. Emotional health involves the experience of all types of emotional sensations; blocking the expression of one affects the expression of all.
