Health authorities are working to find the source of a mystery COVID case in WA’s south west, after 13 new infections were recorded overnight. 7NEWS

’s south east is the latest location on high alert, with health authorities urging anyone who attended Mercy Day Care Centre on Tuesday from 7.30am-7.45am and Friday from 7.45am-8am to get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result., as Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson pleaded with West Australians to continue to get tested.“It’s now about how we suppress and manage Omicron.

Health authorities are urging West Australians to get tested if they have COVID symptoms as the state recorded 13 new cases overnight.“There is Omicron in our community, this is serious and high levels of testing and quarantine is our best chance to help minimise the spread and to manage this outbreak,” Ms Sanderson said.

WA Health says anyone in the Perth, Peel and South West regions experiencing COVID symptoms should “ get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result”.
